I got my rabbit one of those little wooden balls with the nut in the middle that they’re supposed to chew through to get the nut and I gave it to him last night and instead of chewing through it he discovered that pulling out the orange pegs that hold it together was much easier so within a few hours a brand new wooden ball is disassembled all over the cage with the nut missing. Good job, Mojo. You are officially a genius rabbit.
Now, from anyone else this would be a kind offer but not from my sister and here’s why.
My sister adopted the rabbit in 2007 and was so happy to have him. She had a nice home for him in her room and she was going to talk to him every night. A week later the rabbits living in the garage because she said he smelled. A lot of rabbits live outside so it’s not a big deal he was in the garage. He was still getting the food, water, and affection he needed…for another few months. I’d come home from school and see he had no water or food. I end up feeding him everyday. She’s still talking to him and cleaning his cage though, and of course I am as well. I’m a sucker for cute animals. But after a few more months she just complains about how much of a bother this poor rabbit is and how much he smells and how mean he his. The cage starts to get dirtier and dirtier and now only once a month she’s cleaning it when my parents finally force her. At this point in time I had just gotten out of a serious surgery and was unable to clean the cage or I would have. A few more months and it’s winter. The poor rabbit stayed in a corner all throughout winter, shivering and freezing, miserable. I’d come home from school and give him a hello pet and talk to him and I could tell he wasn’t happy. Now, at this point I already had four chinchillas in my room in two cages so my room was pretty packed but I felt so bad for this rabbit so I threw out a whole dresser and everything in it and brought the rabbit in my room. He’s been there for at least five years now and I think she’s only came in to see him three times and now she randomly says “I think I’ll clean his cage when it gets warm out”
Then she yells at me when I laugh.
